1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to FindIt!, including the FindIt! website, games, profiles, leaderboards, and related services.

In this policy, “FindIt!”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the service operated under the FindIt! name. “You” refers to anyone who uses FindIt!.

2. Information We Collect

When you create or use a FindIt! account, we may collect information needed to provide the service.

This currently includes:

• Account information: your name, username, email address, and profile image when available through Google sign-in.
• Authentication information: information provided by our authentication provider to securely sign you in.
• Game activity: puzzles you play, completion status, completion times, stars earned, and related puzzle progress.
• Leaderboard information: your public profile name, username, score, stars, and completion information where applicable.
• Support information: information you choose to provide when contacting us or reporting a problem.

3. Information From Google

FindIt! currently uses Google sign-in through Supabase Auth. When you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides information associated with your Google account that is required for authentication, such as your email address and, where available, your name and profile image.

We store the email address associated with your authenticated FindIt! account so that we can maintain your account and associate your game progress with the correct user.

You do not need to manually enter your Google email address into FindIt! to create your account.

4. Why We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• create and maintain your FindIt! account;
• authenticate you securely;
• save your puzzle progress and completed puzzles;
• calculate stars, profile progress, and leaderboard results;
• display your profile information where you choose to participate;
• provide customer support and respond to reports;
• protect the service against misuse and security issues; and
• operate, maintain, and improve FindIt!.

5. Your Email Address

Your email address is associated with your authenticated FindIt! account. It is used primarily to maintain your account and associate your account data with the correct user.

Your email address is not displayed on the public leaderboard. Leaderboards use your selected public profile information instead.

We will not sell your email address or use it for unrelated advertising purposes.

6. Public Profile and Leaderboards

FindIt! includes social features such as leaderboards. If you participate, information such as your display name, username, stars, scores, and completion information may be visible to other users.

Your private account email address is not displayed as part of the public leaderboard.

7. How We Store Your Information

FindIt! currently uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, session management, and related application infrastructure.

Your account information and game progress are stored in systems provided by these services. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No method of storing or transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Service Providers

FindIt! relies on third-party services to operate parts of the product. Current providers include:

• Google for Google account authentication.
• Supabase for authentication, database storage, sessions, and application data.
• Netlify for website hosting and deployment where applicable.

These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

FindIt! may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies where necessary for authentication, security, session management, or basic functionality.

We do not currently use your FindIt! account information to serve targeted advertising.

If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other tracking technologies in the future, we will update this policy to describe what is used and why.

10. How Long We Keep Information

We keep account and game information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide FindIt!, maintain your account, preserve game progress, resolve disputes, maintain security, or meet applicable legal requirements.

When information is no longer required for these purposes, we intend to delete or anonymize it where reasonably practical.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply to you, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to:

• request access to personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of your account and associated information;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
• raise a complaint about how your information is handled.

12. Account Deletion

If you want to delete your FindIt! account and associated personal information, email us at nixie.dev.team@gmail.com with your account deletion request.

We will take reasonable steps to verify the request and delete information that we are not required to retain.

Some information may need to be retained for a limited period where required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

13. Children's Privacy

FindIt! is a general-audience service and is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children without the permissions or safeguards required by applicable law.

If you are a parent or lawful guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to FindIt! in a way that is not permitted, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as FindIt! changes, as we introduce new features, or as applicable legal requirements change.

When we make material changes, we will update the policy on this page and revise the effective date below.
